A 4-year refurbishment of Christie’s auction houses in London, New York and Paris, installed around their busy operation, enables the handling of modern-day demands including telephone and internet bidding,. Only extremely reliable systems of the highest quality were selected and installed with a minimum of visual impact.

Christie’s modern saleroom facilities and exhibition spaces provide one of the most accessible, well lit and welcoming sales arenas in the world, consistently attracting over 200,000 visitors a year.

Over a period of 4 years from 2007, Sysco was involved in the comprehensive rejuvenation of all of Christie’s London, New York and Paris sales rooms to enable the auction house to keep up to date with the demands of new technologies such as internet and telephone bidding.

Working closely with interior designers Land Design Studios to create a clean and crisp finish appropriate to Christie’s distinguished image, Sysco were required to design systems using the most reliable and high quality components available, and to ensure that as much as possible of the technology remained hidden.

The project was run over several phases, with installation restricted to very short periods between auctions, requiring careful planning and forethought.

Sysco continues to provide on-site technical support for all Christie’s sales and events.
